Before Your Breakthrough!

Updated: Jan 3
Expect Resistance
Expect Disappointments
Expect Delays

I want to encourage those who are waiting for a breakthrough. Yes. “A Breakthrough.” Please understand that resistance usually occur because you are breaking through demonic forces set to hinder and delay you, but don’t give up!

I Peter 4:12-13 says, “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial, which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.”

This scripture tells us to “think it not strange” when you are going through difficulties or “fiery trials”. I actually wrote a song that you can find on my website at called “Think it Not Strange”.

I truly believe this song will encourage you. God gave me this beautiful song when I was going through so much turmoil. It looked as though everything was going wrong at that time. I was being attacked in my business, health, finances as well as my ministry all while trying to work on projects and further the Kingdom of God. I more than stressed; but God gave me a breakthrough and the victory in every area I was attacked.

What areas are you being attacked in? Rejoice, because your breakthrough is nearer than you think!

Anytime you are moving into change or transiting towards your assignment, purpose, or breakthrough, expect contrary winds and sometimes storms. The enemy does not want you to be successful. He will place obstacles in your way to make you give up. He will plant lies and doubt in your mind, so you forego your blessing and the promises of God. If God said you can have it, it’s yours!!! Healing, deliverance, miracles, and blessings belong to you according to God’s word.

Let’s look at Mark 4:35-37

And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.

I believe the storm arose to hinder, delay, and stop Jesus and the disciples from crossing to the other side, but Jesus and the disciples made it to the other side and Jesus delivered a demon possessed man by casting out a legion of demons that were in him (Mark 5:1). Jesus and the disciples had an assignment and purpose on the other side and by faith they fulfilled that assignment. The enemy cannot stop you when you have faith and trust the Father’s plan for your life.

When I was in the midst of completing my book, “You have What the Father Has”, and was in the launching stage to get it delivered to the public, there were so many obstacles and problems coming at me, including my father’s illness and eventually death. My flesh told me to wait until things got better or easier but Holy Spirit kept encouraging me that now was the time despite the obstacles and to keep breaking through the obstacles. What are you waiting for? Knock your Jericho wall down with faith and trust God! Let’s get it!

He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap. (Ecclesiastes 11:4)

Today, I am so glad I obeyed sweet Holy Spirit. I have had many doors and opportunities opened to me.

What dreams do you still have on hold? What plans or desires have you set aside because the winds seem contrary or resistant to your path? You got this with God!

Don’t give up because of the resistance. Plant your feet on solid ground and step forward. When facing contrary winds, it is important to move from your feelings to your faith!
