SAY IT’S POSSIBLE!
Updated: Jan 3
With so much fear, doubt, and turmoil and self-reliance going on in the world, I wanted to remind you that God specializes in the impossible.
The meaning of “impossible” is something that is not able to occur, exist or be done. It means unreasonable, too hard or extremely difficult to achieve.
When we can’t see or perceive the impossible, we don’t believe. Sometimes we even start to speak negatively about it. In other words because it seems impossible or too difficult for us, we start to doubt, even though we have prayed for it. Like in the case of Zachariah in Luke 1:18-20:
Zechariah said to the angel, “How can I be sure this will happen? I’m an old man now, and my wife is also well along in years.” Then the angel said, “I am Gabriel! I stand in the very presence of God. It was he who sent me to bring you this good news! But now, since you didn’t believe what I said, you will be silent and unable to speak until the child is born. For my words will certainly be fulfilled at the proper time.”
Zechariah could not see or perceive what the angel of the Lord was telling him, so he did not believe. As a matter of fact he started telling the angel why it was not possible or couldn’t happen. As a result he was silenced by the angel and unable to speak.
It is important for us to remember that it is not our ability that makes the impossible possible but God’s ability.
The next time Holy Spirit tells you to do something that seems big, too great for you, or impossible, please don’t have a “Zachariah moment,” but believe God and trust him.
Please know that God brings us to impossible situations. How did the Israelites get to the Red Sea? God brought them there. How did the children of Israel come to a place of hunger in the wilderness, God brought them there. Why: For His glory and purpose and for us to believe in His ability and NOT our own.
From this day forward take God out of the box and let him be God! When you do get ready for the floodgates of blessings to flow in your life.
I remember Holy Spirit telling me to believe God to pay off the mortgage on our church. I talked to my husband, and we decreed that it would be paid off in 58 days. Well, it was paid off in 57 days. You see we had to walk by faith and believe God and take him out the box. It was not our ability but God’s ability. We had to decree that the mortgage would be paid off and stand in faith.
In other words, we had to say that the impossible was “possible” and God showed up and showed out. I don’t say all this to brag but to let you know that all things are possible with Father God.
We are in a season where we need to believe God like never before. We need to decree what we have believed God for by faith (Hebrews 11:1).
Job 22:28 says, Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee; and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
What is that impossible situation, trial, or circumstance that you are facing? Or that dream that seems impossible? I want to encourage you to believe that all things are possible with God. More than that say it’s POSSIBLE! Remember it is not your ability that will get it done but God’s ability!
Get ready to see what others said was impossible because you believe. Dream big! Think big!
